CREATE YOUR ONLINE STORE
Bandwear will create a unique, e-commerce online store to sell your music & merch as part of our Bandwear Superstore. You promote the store to your fans and start selling!
Only $15.99/month, $9.99/product to build your store!
PRINTING/SHIPPING/FULFILLMENT
Once an order is placed on your store, Bandwear will execute the printing of the item and ship to your customer. The wholesale cost of the printing is billed to you (see product options and pricing below). You set the retail price for each item, and sales are split 80/20. (After 5% Bank Credit Card/Transaction Fees)
For example: Item sold for $25 – you get $19, we keep $4.75– However, it’s important to note ALL THE EXPENSES ASSOCIATED WITH FULFILLMENT – Packaging, Processing, Labeling, Warehousing, Labor, etc. are covered in Bandwear’s 20%. Bandwear collects/retains the shipping/handling fees from the customer to pay for postage. (In other words, your customer pays the postage, not you!)
In this example, if the wholesale cost of the item printed is $14.50 – your profit is $4.50 from your $19 cut of the retail sale. (See cost and profit example for specific items below)
You’ll have complete access to the “back-end” of your store to view sales, customer data, inventory, etc. And Bandwear takes care of any “customer-service” issues for you – returned packages, bad addresses, etc.
Plus, every Bandwear Store can be linked to the band’s Spotify profile, giving fans easy access to the band’s merch as they stream and view.

ON-DEMAND FAQS
Are there limitations to what I can print for On-Demand products?
All On-Demand apparel items, tote bags and mugs include full color printing at no extra cost and include a 1-sided print. Hats and Beanies are embroidered so these require vector art files. If you’re not sure about your graphic file or need design assistance simply let us know.
How do I get paid?
Payment for the printing of items is due at the end of each month. Payout of sales is made to you the month after an order ships. For example, orders shipped in May are paid to you at the end of June. You’ll be able to choose how you’d like to be paid each month – Check, ACH, even PayPal.
Example – Cost to print a standard tee is $9.94 each. At a retail price of $25 per tee, you receive $19 per sale after the 80/20 fulfillment split (after credit card/transaction fees).
If you sell 2 tees you’d pay the $9.94 print cost per tee at the end of the month – or $19.88 for 2 tees. The following month you’d be paid $19 per tee, or $38 total for the sales the previous month. So your net profit is $18.12.
Can I offer On-Demand products and physical inventory products in the same Online Store?
Absolutely! Your Online Store site can offer physical products alongside On-Demand items. The setup cost and 80/20 Sales Fulfillment split are the same for both types of items. Therefore, it’s easy to add the existing inventory of merch items, physical CDs, vinyl, or other products to your store. The more items you offer, the more opportunities for sales!
On-Demand products are beneficial when combined with a physical inventory product. For example: When making 100 T-shirts in standard sizes, it can be beneficial to offer the same or similar T-shirts as an On-Demand item to also include larger sizes (2XL-5XL) or Women’s and Youth sizes.
Is offering On-Demand products better than printing and selling physical inventory?
It depends. There are advantages and disadvantages to both. The primary advantage of On-Demand products is that you are able to offer a variety of products without the up-front cost of investing in larger quantities of physical inventory. The downside is that because the cost to print one single item at a time is higher than printing physical inventory in larger quantities, profit margins are significantly lower for on-demand items.
For example, when manufacturing physical inventory in bulk, profit margins are generally 40-60% higher across the board vs one-off on-demand printing.
We offer a dozen or more of our most popular apparel items available on-demand. However, we offer 700,000+ items when making physical inventory! Another advantage of making physical inventory is that we can ship a number of these items to you to sell in person at performances, events, etc.
In general, you’ll make significantly more profit, have a wider variety of products to choose from, and have the advantage of selling products in person at events and performances when you invest in printing apparel and merch items in larger quantities and keep physical inventory in stock. In light of this, our goal is always to help increase your sales to the point where you are able to take advantage of the profits and benefits of making the physical inventory in advance. As a general rule, we advise that if you can afford to print even just 24-36 tees or apparel items up-front, you should opt for this option vs On-Demand. With that said, On-Demand can be a good starting option for many circumstances, as well as an advantage when combined with physical inventory. We encourage you to contact us to discuss the option that best meets your specific needs.
